Repurposed rubber tipped Airlock
A rubber tipped airlock is a rotary valve, the rubber tips are not effective if the pressure above or below the airlock is too great. Rubber tipped airlocks are applied at the discharge of a cyclone or a conveyor to allow material to pass but not process air. Airlocks are designed to handle metered volumes of material. Proper determination of the material volume will eliminate the possibility of plugging above or in the airlock.
